What I say  

It’s been a few years since I wore Brooks and the Hyperion Tempo didn’t disappoint. It’s one of the lightest trainers I’ve ever worn. Sometimes, developing a really lightweight running shoe comes at the cost of support for the runner, but that’s not the case here. The Tempo is really light, yet there’s still plenty of support in the midsole and arch to cushion the impact, and the stretch woven upper is firm without being restrictive, allowing the foot to move freely. 

Designed for speed sessions, this shoe feels responsive and fast. It has the right mix of cushion, ground feel and energy return. It’s not the springiest shoe I’ve worn, but it still feels bouncy and it’s fun to wear. I’d have no trouble running both speed and distance in this shoe. If you aren’t into carbon fibre plate shoes for your racing, then this light trainer could be a good option. 

The only thing that I don’t like so much is the thin shoe laces. They loosen while running and don’t feel as tight as they should. There are a range of on-trend colourways to choose from in both female and male categories.
