I love avocados. They are such a yummy and versatile fruit. I use them in salads, sandwiches, smoothies, desserts, and as the main ingredient in my delicious and healthy spicy guacamole.

Avocados are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet, and are jam-packed with health benefits. They are one of the richest sources of mono-saturated fats, and one avocado has twice the potassium of a banana.

Avocados first arrived in Australia in 1840 and were planted in the Royal Botanical Gardens in Sydney. They are a perennial fruit and Australian avocados are available all year round because of the our country’s diverse growing regions.
